How BFE works 

Ever been working on a Grand Tour and find yourself completely frustrated trying to document a bonus stop due to lack of the "required" sign? Been there, done that, got nothing for it. Well, no need to worry this time around. The Pharaoh will accept nearly anything (except handmade signs) that prove you were where you said you were- park benches, cemeteries, schools, firehouses, police stations, etc. The more remote, the smaller the better. Ghost Towns and Paper Towns (those that exist only on paper, but there is nothing really there, e.g. Scaggsville, MD) are preferred.

This contest will be completed entirely online including registration.  On or about September 15, 2010, all entrants will be emailed a PDF of their rally flag. It is strongly suggested all entrants save the file and print out more than one copy of their rally flag. Once you have your flag, you are free to start collecting BFE bonus locations. The contest will end on April 1, 2011 so all photo albums must be completed by midnight March 31, 2011. The Pharaoh will make final decrees and award prizes beginning April, 1.

Finishing Positions

Some folks went to amazing lengths to document and verify they had in fact, been to BFE.  Others, just photographed everything they thought might work and published it.  For those who were declared successful finishers, you will find your certificate linked off your name, your score takes you to your scorecard.  Two explorers took it to an extreme however- Tom Southwood visited nearly 900 locations 765 of which were in Indiana alone.  Roger Swartout only managed to locate a meager 742 in Indiana.
